Back in September 1997 at the age of  46, I was unfortunate enough to suffer a heart attack. Fortunately, with the help of modern medicine, the dedicated staff of The Royal Sussex County Hospital, my family, friends and the Brighton Take Heart Group, I have now fully recovered.

In an effort to return a little of this, and in turn help others in the future, on June 20th 1999 I participated in my first London to Brighton Cycle Ride to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
